Database Administrator Senior

Database AdministratorDBA with 11-15 years' experience to manage OAG/Child Support Services Microsoft SQL databases. Candidate should possess expert knowledge of MSSQL, emphasis on planning, analysis, design, & implementation of databases, reports, & report interfaces.This position is in District of Columbia, Information Technology Section. The incumbent will support the Client databases. The mission of the Client is to enhance the well-being of children by assuring the accurate and timely financial and medical support is provided for them. The Client Database Administrator provides, at minimum, the following general services related to Microsoft SQL Server databases:Designs and maintains on premises SQL Server databases and tablesProvide customer support, to internal and external customersProduce system and custom reports upon request using SQL queriesReviews and prepares technical documentation, including data dictionaries definitions, systems flows, program flows, database designsOversee enhancements and new feature deployment, including the development requirements and testing scriptsResponsible for database problem diagnosis and resolutionRecommends improvements to database systems based on the latest developments within the IT fieldPlans, organizes, and implements projects in support of District's growing information demands. Ensures the effective use of District resources. Contributes to policies for effective process planning as it relates to new requirements. Possesses expert knowledge of the Structured Query Language (SQL) environment with particular emphasis on planning, analysis, design and implementation of reports and report interfaces intended for the end user. Participates in short-term tactical planning implementation. Contributes to long-term strategic planning.Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience· 11-15 yrs. database design, documentation, and coding.· 11-15 yrs. SQL experience.· 11-15 yrs. designing and implementing reports and report interfaces.· Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Databases.Compensation: $53.00 - $60.00 per hour
