Senior Principal, Solution Architect - Thermal system

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Thermal System Solution Architect to define and advance end-to-end thermal architectures for high-density AI factories and data centers. This role translates compute roadmaps, deployment constraints, sustainability objectives and customer operating models into scalable, resilient and efficient cooling solutions, spanning chip and rack heat capture through facility heat transport, heat rejection and heat reuse.Success factorsTranslate ambiguous market signals and customer needs into clear system requirements, architecture decisions and actionable recommendations.Connect IT, mechanical, electrical, controls, sustainability and operational perspectives to optimize the complete system.Communicate complex thermal concepts effectively to executives, customers, sales teams and technical experts.Build trust with customers and partners through active listening, technical credibility and solution-focused engagement.Challenge assumptions constructively while maintaining speed, engineering rigor and documentation.Influence across a global matrix and mobilize subject-matter experts to deliver results.Candidate profileThis senior technical leadership role requires an innovative, structured and autonomous systems thinker who combines deep thermal engineering expertise with customer-facing architecture experience and the ability to shape future solutions across organizational boundaries.Required experience and capabilities8+ years of experience in data center thermal infrastructure, critical facilities, HVAC, liquid cooling, mechanical systems engineering, system development or solution architecture.5+ years in customer-facing technical roles, including architecture workshops, design reviews or technical decision forums.Experience developing data center architectures or reference designs and leading multidisciplinary technical workstreams.Strong knowledge of liquid-cooling systems and integration across server, rack, cooling and facility infrastructure.Ability to model systems, evaluate trade-offs, define requirements and interfaces, and guide verification and validation.Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, project leadership and communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, functions and management levels.Education and preferred qualificationsMaster’s degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Energy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline. Equivalent advanced experience may be considered.System architecture certification or demonstrated methodology experience. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level.
