About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant Vice President for Advancement Operations to play a pivotal role in the evolution of its Advancement infrastructure. This strategic and entrepreneurial leader will be responsible for overseeing the systems, processes, and analytics that drive fundraising success, with a strong emphasis on data-informed decision-making. The successful candidate will build and manage a comprehensive Advancement Operations function, including CRM oversight, gift processing and accounting, donor and constituent data management, reporting, and performance metrics. Collaboration is key in this highly collaborative leadership role, which involves managing a team and working closely with colleagues across Advancement, IT, and campus partners. The AVP will also be instrumental in shaping a future-facing data environment, including the development of a University-wide data warehouse to support strategic priorities.

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Vice President position at the company will have a proven track record in Advancement Operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and best practices. Technical expertise in the relevant areas is essential, as is a relationship-oriented mindset to strengthen the company's Advancement capabilities and culture of philanthropy. The role requires a leader who can bring a strategic vision to the table, is adept at managing a team, and can work effectively in a collaborative environment. A background in a similar role within a higher education or nonprofit setting is highly desirable, and the candidate should be prepared to contribute to the company's mission of preparing students for lives of purpose and service.
