Company Overview:
A national law firm is seeking a detail-oriented Legal Billing Specialist to support its finance team. This role is ideal for someone with mid to large law firm experience, strong organizational skills and experience in invoicing, full cycle billing, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and process client and national account billing, ensuring invoices are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
• Generate invoices, apply incoming payments, and reconcile open accounts receivable balances.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up with clients and customers regarding outstanding or overdue invoices.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, payment issues, and invoice disputes by coordinating with customers, attorneys, internal locations, and finance teams.
• Input and maintain billable hours, expenses, payment activity, and billing records within the accounting system.
• Submit recurring and ad hoc billing requests while providing supporting documentation and invoice corrections as needed
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance, administrative staff, and operational teams to support efficient billing and accounts receivable processes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal billing, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills
• Proficiency in Excel and Elite, 3E, Aderant systems preferred
