Warehouse Lead

Job TitleServe as back up to warehouse shift manager as well as serving as trainer for warehouse operations. When not performing back up or trainer duties this position will function as a Forklift Operator.Duties & ResponsibilitiesProvide direction and assistance to forklift operators when manager is not presentProvide coverage for manager to support production requirementsTrain new hires on warehouse operationsUtilize RF scanner gunsMove, locate, relocate, stack and count inventoryRun and transact Oracle reports and follow Oracle proceduresAssist inventory control personnel in cycle counts and inventory adjustmentsFollow GMP protocols and participate in daily GMP walkthroughs when manager not availableReceivingProficiency in all warehouse receiving and production support dutiesShippingMonitor operation of automatic racking system (where applicable)Stage and prep outgoing ordersLoad outgoing trucks and ensure product is not damaged prior to or during loadingReport food safety & quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actionRequired Education, Skills & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED preferredAbility to wear personal protective equipment (bump cap, hair net, ear plugs, beard net (if applicable); Kevlar gloves, safety glasses and leather skid resistant work shoes/boots)Ability to apply computer skills and math functionsStrong communication skills, verbal and writtenStrong demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skillsExperience using RF scanner guns preferred3-5 years previous experience operating forklift in a fast-paced environmentLearning agilePrevious training experience preferredWorking ConditionsConstant exposure to extreme loud noisesConstant sittingConstant exposure to extreme hot/cold (non-weather) environmentConstant use of fingers and handsOccasional standing and moving by footOccasional lifting/carrying <25 poundsOccasional work near moving mechanical partsFrequent reaching/lifting/pulling/bending/climbing stairs/stooping/kneelingPotential exposure to caustic chemicalsDISCLAIMER: The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed and is not an inclusive summary of job duties and responsibilities.
