Federal Work-Study | Web Tech Assistant

Department :Sciences & Technology Salary :$12.00 per hour Description: The College of Sciences and Technology is seeking a Federal Work-Study student to serve as a Web Technology Assistant and support website updates and digital projects. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Assists faculty and staff with department needs Assists students and visitors to the department Answers phones and provides front office coverage Assists in organizing inventories Assists with student events Performs all other duties as assigned, which may include: Handling the CST social media Creating and designing posts for the college while following university guidelines Leveraging data from social media to better engage online audiences Researching current social media trends Qualifications: Must be a current UHD student Must qualify for federal work-study Preferred: Interest in design, marketing, or data Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite (preferred but not required) Familiarity with social media All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
