Production Manager

The Production Manager is responsible for the leadership, operation and staffing of crews for the daily production of oriented strand board (OSB). Production Manager is responsible for ensuring safe operation of equipment, quality of OSB, achieving production targets, and ensuring that operator-level maintenance is performed on all equipment at a very high standard. To that end, these responsibilities include but are not limited to: What you will do: * Review processing schedules or production orders to make decisions concerning manufacturing requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments, considering headcount and budgetary limitations and time constraints

• Direct and coordinate production and labor to gain margin improvement
• Develop or implement production tracking or quality control systems, analyze

production, quality control, or other operational reports to detect production problems * Mentor assigned personnel and promote efficiency and build leadership and team skills

• Direct process improvements in the work area to gain efficiencies
• Communicate effectively with all team members and ensure miscommunications

are minimized * Coordinate with other senior staff members on personnel, safety, finance, and purchasing issues, looking for ways to increase and enhance all functional areas

• Lead by example
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the General Manager

• Demonstrated success leading a manufacturing team
• Eligible to legally work in the United States
• BS or BA diploma or equivalent experience
• Ability to work as part of a team and deliver value to the team

over time * Analyze data to make informed operational decisions Physical Requirements Physical ability to perform the essential job functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, working at heights, lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, and bending. This is a "Safety Sensitive position" per the definition of MN statutes, meaning "a job in which impairment caused by drug, alcohol or cannabis usage would threaten the health or safety of any person." Competitive base salary with an annual bonus opportunity. The typical salary range is $105,000-$135,000, depending on location, education and relevant experience.
