No Medical Assistant certification is required for this position.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-service-oriented individual to join our team on a part-time basis (Monday, Tuesday and Friday) .

This is a non-clinical position focused primarily on patient communication and front-office support. The ideal candidate is comfortable speaking with patients in person and over the phone, managing multiple tasks, scheduling appointments, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and professional customer service to patients and visitors.
• Greet patients and assist with the check-in and check-out process.
• Answer incoming telephone calls and assist patients with questions.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Assist patients with general scheduling and office-related inquiries.
• Collect and verify basic patient demographic and insurance information.
• Update patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Assist with obtaining medical records and other administrative documentation when needed.
• Monitor and respond appropriately to incoming patient messages and requests.
• Route clinical questions to the appropriate clinical staff member or healthcare provider.
• Assist with scanning, faxing, filing, and other front-office administrative duties.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Communicate professionally with patients, providers, coworkers, hospitals, and other healthcare offices.
• Work collaboratively with the front office and clinical teams to help maintain efficient patient flow.
• Assist with additional administrative and customer service duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a medical assistant program preferred.
• Previous experience working in a medical office setting is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
• CPR certification is a plus.
