Food Safety & Quality Coordinator Job Details
Schedule : Full-time (Schedule to be discussed during the interview)
Pay Rate : Based on Experience (BOE)
Location : Walton, KY
Food Safety & Quality Coordinator Requirements/Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- 5 or more years of full-time related experience in food service, manufacturing, distribution, food safety, or quality assurance
- Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related scientific field preferred
- HACCP and/or FDA Preventive Control Qualified Individual certification preferred
- SQF and/or BRC Practitioner certification preferred
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
As a Food Safety & Quality Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor food safety and quality processes to ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and company standards
- Perform quality assurance inspections on raw materials, production processes, and finished products
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly internal audits and inspections
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and company standard operating procedures
- Train employees on food safety procedures, GMPs, and quality standards
- Perform pre-operational inspections and environmental swabbing as required
- Collect product samples for quality evaluations and microbiological testing
- Assist with investigations involving food safety incidents, product quality concerns, and customer complaints
- Maintain accurate quality records, reports, and documentation
- Communicate quality concerns and non-conformances with production and leadership teams
