Position Overview A Human Resources Specialist (Military/Information Systems) in the Air Force Reserve Command. This Air Reserve Technician (ART) position provides career civil service benefits. Responsibilities Serve as Personnel Systems Manager (PSM) and direct the management of the Personnel Data System (PDS). Plan, direct, and control all aspects of the various Personnel Data Systems. Provide PDS customers with assistance and training. Provide military personnel advisory services to commanders and staff on all personnel systems programs. Eligibility Federal employees – Competitive service (current or former) Federal employees – Excepted service (current or former) Career transition employees (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL) who meet the definition of a “surplus” or “displaced” employee. Veterans Military spouses Land and base management employees (current or former term or temporary) Qualifications Specialized experience: at least one year at the next lower grade GS‑09 (or equivalent) in HR management, personnel readiness, system integration, IT security, or project management. Knowledge of military personnel policies, PDS applications, data analysis, communication, civilian personnel guidelines, and labor agreements. Ability to analyze data and communicate effectively with diverse groups. Conditions of Employment U.S. citizenship. Must be a current member of the AF Reserve or willing/qualified to join. Maintain an appropriate security clearance. May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; shift work and overtime possible.
