Job Description K&L Gates is seeking a mid‑level associate to join the dynamic Real Estate team in our Washington, DC office. The role focuses on drafting purchase and sale agreements, real‑estate development documents, due diligence materials, and other agreements specific to the industrial and technology sectors, including data centers and advanced manufacturing. Responsibilities Draft purchase and sale agreements and other development documentation. Conduct title and survey reviews. Prepare and review lender‑side finance representation documents. Perform due diligence and draft agreements related to industrial and technology sectors. Assist in real‑estate joint‑venture, leasing, planned community, condominium, multi‑family, and manufacturing transactions. Collaborate with senior attorneys and mentors, developing increasing levels of responsibility and client contact. Manage competing deadlines in a fast‑paced, client‑driven environment. Qualifications 3–4 years of real‑estate transactional and development experience. Proficiency in drafting purchase and sale agreements, development documents, and due‑diligence materials. Experience with title and survey review, lender‑side financing, real‑estate joint venture, leasing, and development of various property types. Knowledge of economic incentive programs is a plus. Strong academic credentials and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and client expectations. Dedicated commitment to high‑quality client service. Base Compensation $250,000 - $280,000 per year, determined during the interview process and based on prior experience, expertise, current business needs, and market factors.
