IT Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated IT Specialist to be the primary contributor managing our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will not only possess technical expertise in Microsoft Office 365 administration, Hyper-V virtualization, Veeam backup solutions, and phone systems, but also bring a great attitude and a strong commitment to doing whatever is necessary to support the team and end users. This role requires a proactive individual who can both strategically plan and actively implement and maintain IT systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Education Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Responsibilities Microsoft Office 365 Administration: Manage and administer Microsoft Office 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams. Ensure seamless integration and compatibility of Office 365 applications within the organization. Hyper-V Virtualization: Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of virtual machines using Hyper-V. Optimize virtualization infrastructure for efficiency and resource utilization. Veeam Backup: Implement and manage Veeam backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and availability. Regularly test and update backup procedures to mitigate data loss risks. Phone System Management: Administer and maintain the organization's phone system, ensuring reliable communication channels. Collaborate with vendors to implement updates, upgrades, and troubleshoot issues. Help Desk Operations: Serve as the primary point of contact for IT support, resolving technical issues in a timely manner. Implement and enforce best practices for incident management and service request fulfillment. End User Support: Provide support and training to end-users on IT systems and applications. Proactively address end-user concerns, working to improve user experience and satisfaction. Positive Attitude and Team Collaboration: Demonstrate a positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate with team members. Take initiative to support colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment. Security and Compliance: Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard the organization's IT assets. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards. Budgeting and Procurement: Manage IT budget and recommend cost-effective solutions. Evaluate and procure IT hardware, software, and services. Required Skills Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role Expertise in Microsoft Office 365 administration and Hyper-V virtualization technologies Experience with Veeam backup solutions Knowledge of phone systems and telecommunication technologies Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities Preferred Certifications Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Windows Server - Hyper-V Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE) Location Ann Arbor, MI #J-18808-Ljbffr
