Merrill Market Client Relationship Manager

Position Overview Merrill Wealth Management is seeking a Market Client Relationship Manager (MCRM) to lead the overall service delivery model, encompassing the bank's digital offerings and wealth management banking strategy. The MCRM will partner with market leadership, Resident Directors, Financial Advisors, Wealth Management Client Associates, and Operations staff to ensure superior client service and responsible growth. Key Responsibilities Partner with market leadership teams, Market Executives, Resident Directors, Financial Advisors, and Wealth Management Client Associates to facilitate daily business needs. Drive responsible growth while minimizing regulatory, financial, operational, and reputational risks. Manage the Wealth Management Client Associates, Operations support staff, and the branch’s Operations Department. Deliver firm strategy through execution of Market Strategy Plans. Collaborate with advisor teams to deliver a branded client service model focusing on digital solutions and enterprise capabilities. Act as Lead and Referral Coordinator for the market and manage market expenses. Support the development of Elite Growth Practice roles and the broader operations staff. Managerial Responsibilities Demonstrate deep process knowledge, operational excellence, and innovation through simplicity, data‑based decision making, and continuous improvement. Communicate enterprise decisions, purpose, and results, linking them to team strategy and priorities. Ensure proper risk discipline, controls, and culture to identify, elevate, and debate issues. Provide coaching, inspection, feedback, and motivation to improve team performance. Manage expenses and budgets in alignment with organizational objectives. Assess talent and build bench strength for roles across the organization. Prioritize, inspect, and delegate team work to deliver business outcomes. Specific Responsibilities Ensure client service expectations are met and exceeded while balancing risk exposure. Manage branch Wealth Management Client Associates and Service Support Staff. Represent the office and Merrill to clients, prospects, vendors, regulators, and legal counsel. Coach teams to deliver a digital‑first service model focusing on client satisfaction. Identify opportunities to connect Financial Advisors and clients with the broader enterprise. Oversee daily operations ensuring compliance with industry regulations, policies, and procedures. Required Qualifications Current Licenses: SIE, Series7 and Series66 (or Series63 and Series65), Series9 and Series10 (or Series8), and Series3 and31 if warranted. Minimum of 5+ years professional experience. Current or prior Merrill Wealth Management experience strongly preferred. Self‑motivated, client‑centric, and knowledgeable about regulatory and supervisory requirements. Expertise in investment products (401(k), options, annuities, tax and retirement plans, money funds, mutual funds, liabilities, margin, trust operations). Experience in trend analysis and risk assessment. Strong customer service, communication, and management skills including planning, monitoring, influencing, negotiating, supervising, and delegating. Desired Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. High School Diploma, GED, or Secondary School equivalent.
