Job Description

Join our team as a Registered Nurse in a dynamic Stepdown/MedSurg unit. This flex unit serves both floor and step-down patients based on hospital and patient needs. Our diverse patient population primarily includes medical diagnoses. As a nurse in this unit, you will be equipped to handle 6 patients on the med-surg floor or 3 patients in stepdown.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and care for patients in both stepdown and med-surg capacities.
• Titrate drips according to physician orders, including but not limited to Heparin, Insulin, and various pain management protocols.
• Collaborate with clinical associates and charge nurses to ensure optimal patient care.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.
• Respond to telemonitoring alerts with the support of remote telemetry surveillance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN licensure.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Experience with EPIC systems is mandatory.
• Ability to manage diverse patient populations with varying medical diagnoses.
