Schedule

This position requires 12-hour night shifts, from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, available either Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, or Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.

Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our stepdown/medsurg unit. The unit will soon be home to a 29-bed facility accommodating both step down and medical-surgical patients, with an opening expected in the first quarter of 2026.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse population with primarily medical diagnoses.
• Handle a patient load of 6 patients for the med-surg floor and 3 patients for the stepdown unit.
• Administer medications as per physician orders and titrate drips such as heparin, insulin, and anti-hypertensives.
• Collaborate with charge RNs and House Supervisors to ensure seamless unit operations.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic charting and documentation.
• Participate in orientation and training for new team members.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with EPIC is a must.
• Ability to understand and adjust settings on CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators, as needed.
