Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete/Masonry)

NOVA Engineering is seeking an ICC Special Inspector (Reinforced Concrete &/or Masonry) for our Greenville, S C office. Responsibilities Structural inspections for rebar, masonry, post-tensioning, and foundations Performing field materials testing of soil, concrete, and asphalt Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided Performing laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues Qualifications ICC Reinforced Concrete and /or Structural Masonry is required (at least one) ICC Structural Steel & Bolting and ICC Structural Welding a plus ICC MSI preferred Ability to learn to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Perks Use of take-home Company Vehicle with gas card for daily travel to work sites Comprehensive group medical insurance, including health, dental and vision Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Certification reimbursement and incentive program with pay increases Paid time off Company–observed paid holidays Company paid life insurance for employee, spouse and children Company paid short term disability coverage Other supplemental benefit offerings including long-term disability, critical illness, accident and identity theft protection 401K retirement with company matching of 50% on the first 6% of employee contributions Wellness program with incentives Employee Assistance Program NOVA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
