Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver Readiness in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will drive patrol routes, monitor assigned areas, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will respond to situations with professionalism, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon02:00 PM - 10:00 PMTue09:00 AM - 06:00 PMWed09:00 AM - 06:00 PMSat06:30 AM - 02:30 PMSun06:00 AM - 02:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to government facility personnel, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials and authorizations, and report access-control irregularities in accordance with site procedures. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and facility representatives as directed. Prepare accurate reports, maintain required logs, and communicate observations, incidents, and policy violations through established reporting channels. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. An armed guard card or license is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. CPR certification is preferred. Pepper spray certification is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
