As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Deterrence in Los Angeles, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to site needs. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Pay Rate: $26.81 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government facility.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established post orders and notification procedures.
• Monitor access points and screen or direct authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Maintain required armed post qualifications, accurately document observations and incidents, and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency personnel as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Handcuffing certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
