FSG offers employee a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical/dental insurance, 401K, and robust PTO plan.As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for pulling, testing, and terminating copper and/or fiber optic cabling in a construction environment.Compensation is based off experience, skill sets, and industry certifications.Low Voltage Technician will:Pull, test, and terminate CAT5e/6a cabling in a commercial environmentInstalling support structure such as J-hooks, saddles, slings, and cable trayOperate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and testing equipmentLabel cables in a neat and organized mannerTest every newly installed or relocated cable in accordance with established proceduresKeep cable neatly tied and bundled while maintaining safety standardsDevelop in-depth knowledge of National Building Codes and standardsRecord time and materials usedAssist other members of the team with installation and maintenanceProvides answers to clients by identifying problems; researching answers; guiding clients through corrective stepsResearch required information using available resourcesBe willing to work any shift (days, nights or weekends if needed)Be able to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights, and in small, confined spacesQualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentAt least six months of installation experienceValid Driver's License and reliable transportationMust be able to pass drug and background screenIndustry Certifications such as BICSI are a plusManufacturer training certifications, (CommScope, Panduit, etc.) are a plus!OSHA preferred
