Description:
The unit supports a high volume of surgical procedures.
There are 38 rooms active for anesthesia services.
Duties include cleaning anesthesia machines and setting up circuits.
Anesthesia machine checks and machine sanitation are essential.
Inventory management of anesthesia machines and supplies is required.
The technician will restock supplies and move items to appropriate locations.
Multitasking is an important skill for this role.
Technicians do not start IVs but assist in setting up for arterial lines.
There is involvement in responding to codes such as OB Stat, Anesthesia Stat, Trauma, and Stroke Alerts.
A positive attitude is essential for a welcoming environment.
Flexibility with scheduling is valued.
Support is available from experienced staff within the department.
No telemetry experience is required.
Shifts may include weekends and holidays unless prior approval for time off is obtained.
Call is offered but not required, with a 30-minute response time.
Dress code includes scrubs, and technicians may wear their own caps and need to bring their own OR shoes.
There is a focus on ensuring technicians are utilized to their full scope of practice.
