Responsibilities Manages individuals—including hiring, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, conducting professional development plans—to meet operational goals. Participates in departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring adherence to goals. Provides and oversees patient care according to planned interventions, documenting as per policy. Creates and implements collaborative care plans based on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment. Supports review of staff hours versus scheduled hours, processes payroll updates, reconciles time cards, and coordinates staff communications. Determines staffing needs, assigns duties, and recommends annual increases; participates in interviews, performance reviews, corrective actions, and disciplinary follow‑up. Maintains staff productivity aligned with departmental operational goals and conducts performance evaluations. Operates as a safety‑sensitive position, maintaining alertness and safe working practices. Minimum Requirements Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Experience : 2–5 years of nursing experience. Supervisor Experience : None required. Licenses & Certifications : Registered Nurse (RN). Preferred Requirements 5–10 years of nursing experience. Supervisor experience. Charge nurse, preceptor, or other leadership experience. Cardiothoracic or cardiac surgery experience.
