About the Role

We are seeking a driven, business-minded Agency Growth & Acquisition Specialist to help expand our district by identifying, attracting, and developing high-quality agency owners and sales professionals.

This is not a traditional recruiting position . Rather than simply filling open jobs, you will be responsible for identifying entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, and experienced sales professionals who have the potential to build, purchase, or grow an insurance agency.

This role is highly relationship- and sales-driven. The ideal candidate is comfortable prospecting, presenting business opportunities, discussing financial performance and return potential, overcoming objections, negotiating, and guiding candidates through complex business decisions.

Compensation: $50,000 annual base salary plus high performance-based incentives. Strong performers have the opportunity to earn $100,000+.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and identify potential agency owners through LinkedIn, networking, referrals, databases, community outreach, events, and other sourcing channels
• Recruit entrepreneurial candidates interested in starting or purchasing an insurance agency
• Recruit Associate Agents and other high-potential sales professionals who may develop into future agency owners
• Conduct initial discovery conversations to evaluate candidates' experience, financial readiness, business acumen, sales ability, and long-term goals
• Present the agency ownership opportunity and clearly communicate the business model, startup considerations, compensation potential, incentives, and growth opportunities
• Help candidates understand agency economics, including revenue opportunities, expenses, staffing considerations, production expectations, and potential return on investment
• Develop financial illustrations and business scenarios to help qualified candidates evaluate agency ownership opportunities
• Build relationships with existing business owners, entrepreneurs, investors, sales professionals, and other potential ownership candidates
• Overcome objections and negotiate effectively while maintaining a consultative, professional approach
• Identify and develop qualified buyers for existing agencies
• Coordinate agency acquisition opportunities between prospective buyers, sellers, district leadership, and internal business partners
• Help guide acquisition candidates through due diligence, financial evaluation, documentation, approval, and transition milestones
• Partner directly with the District Manager on recruiting strategy, acquisition opportunities, and district growth initiatives

This position is best suited for someone who thinks more like a business development professional or consultative salesperson than a traditional recruiter.

• Is highly confident and persuasive in professional conversations
• Has strong prospecting and business development skills
• Is comfortable initiating conversations with business owners, executives, investors, and experienced sales professionals
• Understands how to sell a business opportunity rather than simply describe a job
• Can confidently discuss financial concepts, business economics, revenue potential, expenses, and ROI
• Is skilled at negotiation, objection handling, and closing
• Can build credibility and trust with sophisticated candidates
• Has strong judgment and can evaluate whether someone has the mindset and capabilities to successfully operate a business
• Is persistent and comfortable with longer sales cycles
• Communicates professionally and confidently both verbally and in writing
• Takes ownership of results and is motivated by measurable goals

Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in business development, B2B sales, executive recruiting, franchise development, financial services, insurance, acquisitions, or a related field
• Experience prospecting and generating your own pipeline
• Experience selling high-consideration products, services, investments, franchises, or business opportunities
• Experience working with business owners or entrepreneurial candidates
• Experience with negotiations or business acquisitions is highly desirable
• Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter, CRM platforms, or other prospecting tools is a plus
• Insurance experience is helpful but not required ; we are more interested in strong business development, sales, financial, and relationship-building skills

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role isn't measured by simply scheduling interviews. You'll be expected to develop a strong pipeline of qualified prospective agency owners, move candidates through the ownership process, develop future ownership talent, and help successfully facilitate agency acquisitions.
