Logistics Coordinator

Pay Rate/Range: $20/hr Description: Our client is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to support the Logistics Manager and Warehouse Shipping Manager with daily traffic and shipping activities. This role will serve as a key point of contact for customer service inquiries, assist with coordinating shipments, and help ensure accurate documentation for both domestic and export shipments. The ideal candidate will be organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple logistics tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Job Responsibilities Key responsibilities include routing and processing shipments for the distribution center, scheduling and coordinating inventory shipments between the main warehouse and off‑site locations, and preparing shipping documentation for both inbound and outbound shipments. The Logistics Coordinator will monitor traffic desk tickets, respond to customer service requests in a timely manner, and provide freight rate quotes for outbound shipments. Additional duties include investigating freight damages, shortages, or overcharges, assisting with shipping damage complaints and returns, supporting carrier claims, coordinating shipment schedules, and notifying customer service of any delays or issues. This position will also assist with export paperwork to ensure documentation is complete and help with routine warehouse inventory counts when needed. Qualifications Qualified candidates should have an Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience, with at least one year of related logistics or shipping experience required. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent organizational abilities, and attention to detail are essential. Candidates must also possess strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and be proficient with Microsoft Office or similar software. The ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and work in environments that may include warehouse conditions is required.
