Job Summary and Qualifications

This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Aurora. The Ultrasonographer II performs diagnostic ultrasound and NIVA procedures, operates ultrasound equipment, develops film, and prepares the room with the necessary equipment and supplies for the procedure. Provides excellent patient experiences with quality diagnostic results. Maintains technical skills and is responsible for the use of equipment to minimize hazards and maximize patient safety. Secondary duties include computer work, answering phones, ordering supplies, stocking the department, maintaining files, and general cleaning. Assists in collecting data for PI monitors and conducting quality control for equipment. When need arises, performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current RVT certification and RDMS Certification.
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC.
• Graduate of an accredited medical sonography program required.
• Clinical rotation or 1 year of clinical experience preferred.
• Proficiency in computer skills and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and other health care team members. Ability to work with others within a team to ensure quality patient care. Strong critical thinking skills.
