Business Development Manager

Position Summary  

As the Business Development Manager, you will drive revenue growth by identifying new market opportunities, securing high-value service and supply contracts, and managing key accounts. You will act as the vital link between our production operations and buyers, translating technical material specifications into strong commercial partnership s . The Corporation's current main focus is the horticultural industry, but also provides services within the cryogenic insulation markets for construction and chemical industries .  

Key Responsibilities

• Market Expansion : Identify , target, and secure new business opportunities across diverse industrial manufacturing sectors  

• Pipeline Management : Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting to contract closing  

• Technical Consultation : Collaborate with clients’ plant managers, quality control teams, and engineers to align our product and service specifications with their production needs  

• Contract Negotiation : Standardize, structure, and negotiate agreements, pricing models, and logistics frameworks to maximize profitability  

• Relationship Management : Nurture long-term partnerships with existing accounts to ensure customer retention and identify upselling opportunities  

• Market Intelligence : Track industry trends, competitor activities, and raw material pricing to help guide our market strategy  

Qualifications

• Experience : Minimum of 3+ years of successful B2B technical sales or business development experience, specifically within industrial minerals, aggregates, mining, or heavy chemical manufacturing  

• Education: Formal education in Business or Fi nance , or a related technical/commercial field . Equivalent experience will also be considered in lieu of formal education  

• Skills: Proven track record of negotiating commercial contracts and managing sales cycles  

• Knowledge of horticulture industry and te chnical education preferred  

• Tools: Proficiency with modern CRM platforms and data-driven pipeline tracking  

• Attributes: Strong communication , presentation, and relationship-building skills; self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
