Position Overview Position: Maintenance Technician 1 Location: Los Angeles, CA 90057 Salary: $21.97 to $26.36 per hour Compensation & Benefits Pay Frequency: 24 Pay Periods Per Year Full Time, Non‑Exempt Driving Required Live on Site Required About Path Enterprises PATH is a statewide leader in affordable and supportive housing. We help homeless people find stable housing and have completed 27 residential projects, with 44 planned for the next years. About the Job As a Maintenance Technician 1, you will perform routine maintenance duties for a variety of repairs, preventative maintenance, facility upkeep, and safe operation of PATH’s facilities. Position Responsibilities Perform building maintenance duties including plumbing, carpentry, remodeling, painting, and other craft work. Maintain facility grounds and buildings, keeping common areas, dumpsters, and trash areas clean. Assist with rental unit turnover—painting, cleaning, minor renovations, installing or repairing locks, hinges, and other fixtures. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, and other systems. Replace floor coverings, tiles, baseboards, and carpeting. Steam‑clean or shampoo carpets. Perform light masonry work. Document and complete preventative maintenance tasks and building audits. Ensure scheduled preventive maintenance is finished on time. Inspect facilities for safety compliance and maintain a clean shop and storage areas. Respond immediately to safety‑related projects, completing work orders and maintaining accurate records. Clean and detail apartment turnovers, including appliances, cabinets, and flooring. Assist in emergencies (fires, earthquakes, gas leaks) and keep staff and participants safe. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies. Operate hand, power, and shop tools. Provide friendly support to staff and redirect them to management when needed. Ensure work is completed safely, accurately, and to prevent recurrence. Report and follow up on all emergency or safety issues promptly. Assist other maintenance staff as needed. Minimum Qualifications All levels of experience and education are welcome. Mandatory Requirements Employment eligibility verification. CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain. Successful completion of TB test, background screening, and drug test. Driving Reliable transportation. Valid driver’s license. Proof of insurance and vehicle ownership.
