Billing Coordinator

Job Summary:
Vista Medical Center is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for managing the billing processes, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, resolving billing discrepancies, and providing excellent customer service to patients regarding their accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance verification, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and submit medical claims accurately and efficiently.

• Review and verify patient billing information for accuracy and completeness.

• Work with insurance providers to resolve claim denials and discrepancies.

• Maintain compliance with all relevant healthcare billing regulations, including HIPAA.

• Assist patients with billing inquiries, payment plans, and insurance claims.

• Reconcile account balances and generate billing reports as needed.

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless revenue cycle operations.

• Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation of all billing activities.

Requirements:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management.

• Strong understanding of insurance policies, claims processing, and billing procedures.

• Experience with medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
