Role Overview

Anticipated responsibilities include:

• Provide nursing care for critically ill pediatric patients with cardiac care needs.
• Perform assessments monitor changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly.
• Administer prescribed treatments and medications according to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians respiratory therapists and other members of the care team.
• Support patients and families through education communication and care planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow patient safety and infection prevention practices.

Required Qualifications

• At least one year of recent Pediatric ICU RN experience in an acute care hospital .
• Active unencumbered Texas RN license or an applicable multistate compact RN license.
• Associate degree in nursing accepted.
• For nurses without a BSN enrollment in a BSN program within six months and completion within 24 months consistent with the facilitys stated education requirement.
• Basic Life Support/Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within six months of employment.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support within six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification.
• Completed Bachelor of Science in Nursing.

• Failure to meet the required RN licensure education or certification timelines.
• An active application within the same hiring organizations division during the previous six months.
