Scale Operator

Scale Operator The Scale Operator is responsible for monitoring all truck traffic, accurately recording load data, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Key Responsibilities Weigh and document all inbound and outbound truck loads. Review driver Origin & Destination (O&D) forms and verify load compliance. Enter load data into internal systems and maintain accurate scale tickets and records. Communicate tonnage and operation updates to internal teams. Enforce DEP regulations and site safety requirements, including PPE use. Maintain a clean and orderly scale house and perform routine walkdowns. Provide customer service to drivers, vendors, and the public. Report operational issues or irregularities to supervision. Support special projects and work additional hours as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 13 years of administrative, clerical, or accounting experience. Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays. Strong organization, attention to detail, and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with records systems preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities. Bilingual skills a plus. In addition to salary, this role is eligible for benefits.
