Location: Austin, Texas Join KLA and Help Power the Future of Semiconductor Technology KLA is seeking a Customer Support Engineer (CSE) to support our advanced Surfscan inspection systems at leading semiconductor manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will be a trusted technical expert, helping customers maximize equipment performance, improve productivity, and minimize downtime. What You'll Do: As a Customer Support Engineer, you will: Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain highly sophisticated semiconductor equipment at customer sites. Perform board-level and system-level troubleshooting on advanced capital equipment. Partner with customers to resolve technical issues and improve system performance. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and modifications. Provide technical guidance and assistance to installation and service teams. Document service activities and collaborate with engineering teams to identify and resolve recurring issues. Prepare service reports and assist with customer quotations for labor, travel, and replacement parts. Help drive knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the service organization. Work independently while collaborating closely with customers, peers, and management. What We're Looking For: Successful candidates typically have: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Physics, Military Technical Training, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience. Strong troubleshooting skills involving electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or semiconductor equipment. Experience diagnosing and repairing complex systems and equipment. Ability to work independently in dynamic customer environments. Strong communication and customer service skills. Willingness to work in semiconductor manufacturing and cleanroom environments.
