Job Title: Phlebotomist
Location: Visalia, CA

Job Summary:

The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing quality patient care while safely and accurately collecting blood and other laboratory specimens. Duties include verifying patient information, performing venipunctures and capillary collections, properly labeling and handling specimens, maintaining accurate documentation, and following infection control and safety procedures. The Phlebotomist also helps ensure a comfortable, professional, and positive experience for each patient.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00am - 5:00pm
• 4 Days in Visalia/ 1 Day in Hanford

Pay:

• $21.00 -$25.00 DEO

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform venipunctures and capillary blood collections safely and accurately.
• Verify patient identification and laboratory orders before specimen collection.
• Properly label, handle, process, and transport blood and other specimens.
• Follow infection control, safety, and laboratory procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient and specimen records.
• Provide courteous, compassionate, and professional patient care.
• Explain collection procedures and help patients feel comfortable during blood draws.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked work area.
• Identify and report specimen collection issues or patient concerns.
• Follow all clinic, laboratory, and regulatory policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• 3 Years of Experience
• Must have strong multitasking ability and be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be willing to train in Fresno
• Must be willing to work 4 days in Visalia and 1 day in Hanford
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Excellent verbal and written skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Highly organized; ability to multi-task.
• Excellent customer service and effective communication
