You will lead major workstreams on emerging strategic issues / business unit strategies and conduct ad hoc strategic reviews for the Executive Leadership Team. The role also partners closely with senior executives and the Corporate Development team to inform and drive Mastercard's inorganic growth agenda.Responsibilities:Lead high-priority strategic projects: frame and structure issues, build workplans, conduct complex analysis, and crystallize insights and recommendationsDevelop strategy presentations and memos for C suite executives and the Board of Directors, synthesizing key issues, evaluating options, and articulating clear, fact-based recommendationsGenerate new growth ideas grounded in market dynamics and competitive contextRefine the corporate strategy periodically to reflect material trends impacting the companyAssess organic and inorganic opportunities based on the company's strategic prioritiesPartner with business leaders to design and advance their strategies – balancing facilitation, influence, and content leadership, while ensuring alignment with corporate strategyCoach and develop junior team membersMaintain business landscape knowledge, to provide solid foundational context for projectsAll About You:Extensive experience in strategy consulting or strategy roles within payments, financial services, or adjacent industriesStrong understanding of Mastercard's products, services, and key revenue drivers, as well as the broader payment industryExceptional analytical and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to lead complex, enterprise-level initiatives end-to-end, effectively driving forward project plans in global, matrixed organizationsExcellent presentation and writing skills, with the ability to independently develop high-quality executive-level outputsAbility to challenge established views and assumptions at all levels and facilitate/lead discussions & debatesStrong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexibleExecutive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior management and business partnersCorporate Security Responsibility:Abide by Mastercard's security policies and practicesEnsure the confidentiality and integrity of the information being accessedReport any suspected information security violation or breachComplete all periodic mandatory security trainings in accordance with Mastercard's guidelinesIn line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
