Job Summary

This is a NICU Level III travel nursing assignment at an acute care hospital in Apple Valley, CA, supporting a unit with approximately 190 births per month. The role is a Night Shift position (3×12 Hours, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM) and requires a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in the NICU specialty.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level III NICU environment serving approximately 190 births per month
• Float to Mother-Baby (MB) unit for babies as needed; if couplet care experience is present, may float fully
• Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including weekends every other week, which may exceed every other to accommodate unit needs
• Submit all RTO (Request Time Off) at time of submission; approval is based on facility needs
• Comply with all facility and MSP requirements throughout the assignment

Required Skills

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in NICU specialty required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Ability to float to Mother-Baby (MB) unit; full float eligibility if couplet care experience is present
• Adherence to scheduling requirements, including every-other-weekend rotation that may exceed to meet unit needs
• All RTO must be submitted at time of submission; scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered

Education Requirements

• Current RN License required
• BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) required

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• At least 1 year of experience in NICU specialty required
• First-time travelers: accepted
