As the Planning Supervisor, you will be responsible for demand planning, forecasting and customer care for select clients. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Lead/direct all support functions of the distribution center, quality/continuous improvement, inventory management, data analytics and operational planning
- Support Operations teams to ensure service level standards are met; adhere to all contractual obligations and ensure client compliance
- Analyze and plan inbound and/or outbound loads
- Identify growth opportunities with current customers by promoting enhanced services and/or cost savings to the customer; partner with site leadership in all customer visits, conference calls and problem-solving efforts
- Manage costs, mitigate risks and create value for the customer to achieve net revenue and operating income goals
- Track, record and maintain quality data; monitor operations and quality processes, and troubleshoot issues
- Maintain cycle count program, meet SLA standards and provide results to customer
- Identify and deploy cost-saving initiatives through standardized improvement processes for the facility
- Manage all direct reports, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, setting expectations, training and development, conducting performance reviews, etc.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
- At a minimum, you'll need: 2 years of experience with complex demand planning activities
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio)
- Working knowledge of statistical methods, mathematical techniques and related analytical tools, including forecasting and projections
- It'd be great if you also have: Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field
- APICS certification
- 2 years of managerial/supervisory experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in Lean manufacturing principles
- Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics (3PL) experience
- Experience in quality, inventory, data mining and problem-solving
- Resource and project management experience
- Experience in an AS9100 or ISO environment
