JOB SUMMARY:

Duties consist of cleaning all public areas including Casino floor, public restrooms, restaurant, lobby, offices and employee break rooms. This position will be responsible for cross training in the Hotel and in Laundry to further assist the housekeeping department when needed and when assigned. This position will be responsible for cross training as a Room Attendant to further assist the housekeeping department when needed and as assigned.  This position is a grade 2/$15.16 per hour. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.    Cleans all areas: must be disinfected, swept, mopped, vacuumed, and dusted.

2.    Responsible for cleanliness of floors in assigned public and employee areas, which includes all front and back of the house.

3.    Cleans all bathrooms in assigned areas outlined in job procedures and as trained.

4.    Keeps assigned area clean of debris and trash removed. 

5.    Empties and cleans all ashtrays and trashcans.

6.    Cleans between slot machines, removes papers, glasses, debris and discards all empty bottles. Wipes down all slot machines in assigned areas.

7.    Responsible for reporting any maintenance issues to supervisor on shift and or to a maintenance technician.

8.    Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

·         High School Diploma or GED preferred.

·         Must be at least 21 years old.

·         Previous experience in hospitality or retail field preferred.

·         Previous cleaning or motel/hotel housekeeping experience preferred.

·         Must possess good communication skills.

·         Must be available to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

·         Must have excellent attendance.

·         Must maintain strict confidentiality at all times, including personnel data, gaming regulations and compliance.

·         Must always remain sensitive to cultural diversity in the workplace.

·         Must be able to work in a team environment is necessary.

REASONING ABILITY:

·         Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and balance multiple priorities successfully.

·         Must be able to anticipate and respond to customer needs in a timely manner regarding both internal and external customers.

·         Must be able to take and provide direction in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·         Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently throughout shift.

·         Must be able to sit, stand and walk for prolonged periods.

·         Must be able to occasionally climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.

·         Must have good vision, hearing, manual dexterity and flexibility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

·         Must be able to work with a variety of chemicals and cleaning agents.

·         Employee will be exposed to moving mechanical parts.

·         Must be able to work in a cold or extreme heat.

·         Employee may be exposed to wet conditions, airborne particles that may be toxic or caustic.

·         Must be able to work in a noisy and crowded environment.

·         Must be able to constantly work under close surveillance cameras.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

·         Candidate selected for employment will be subject to employment reference and background check.

·         Must sign confidentiality agreement at time of hire.

·         Must obtain and maintain a Sky Ute Casino Resort Staff License.

·         Must comply fully with all Sky Ute Casino Resort’s Policies and Procedures, Gaming Code Regulations, and any applicable policies and regulations set forth by the Casino Resort.
