This role is part of Alcon's Engineering function, a team focused on improvingquality, processes, products, packaging and materials across our business to help deliver brilliant outcomes. The Critical Utilities Maintenance Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading a team in planning, designing, and implementing maintenance programs for facilities and equipment. You will coordinate maintenance work, review engineering specifications, and participate in equipment installation. Strong supervisory skills, communication, problem-solving, and attention to detail are essential Specifics Include: Oversee team members to ensure efficient task completion and adherence to processes in maintenance programs Plan and coordinate maintenance engineering work, including reviewing mechanical and electrical engineering specifications Perform engineering reviews of proposed new equipment designs for reliability and maintenance Liaise with production staff to coordinate repair work, safety inspections, and equipment supply with schedules Participate in the installation and commissioning of new equipment Foster a culture of excellence by leading performance management, driving talent development, and enhancing employee engagement and recognition Make day-to-day decisions affecting team members, managing task assignments and workflow Ensure adherence to Good Practice (GxP) regulations by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintaining accurate documentation Contribute to overall compliance and continuous improvement of the organization Lead project execution, ensuring scope, schedule, resources, and deliverables are completed safely and on time. Plan and coordinate site shutdown activities, aligning maintenance scope, contractor support, and production requirements. Develop and manage FSM schedules, balancing preventive maintenance, compliance requirements, and operational priorities. What You'll Bring to Alcon Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+16yrs; M.S.+0 yrs) The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English 2 Years of Relevant Experience 1 Years of Demonstrated Leadership Work Schedule: 1st Shift 7:00am-4:00pm (Monday – Friday) Work Location: Onsite – Fort Worth, TX (North Mfg.)
