Description
American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer for a 13-week travel assignment requiring ARDMS and RVT certification with at least 2 years of experience.
Details
- Ultrasound department within a 228-bed hospital
- Staffing includes 1 full-time and 3 PRN technologists across day, evening, and night shifts
- Uses GE ultrasound equipment and Meditech EMR
- Procedures performed include pelvic/transvaginal, renal and renal dopplers, abdomen and limited abdomen, 1st trimester pregnancy, testicular, carotid, and upper/lower extremity venous studies
- 3-day work week, Friday-Sunday, 6:30 AM-7:00 PM
- On-call required during the week, potentially 10:30 PM-7:00 AM
- Possibility to pick up extra shifts
- Floating required within the department and to patient rooms
Requirements
- ARDMS and RVT certification required
- BLS required
- License required if applicable
- Minimum 2 years of experience in ultrasound/sonography
- Minimum 2 years of travel experience required
- Paracentesis/thoracentesis experience preferred
- Biopsy and drainage experience preferred
- GE equipment experience preferred
- US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri)
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
Additional Information
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, and obstetric studies
- Must be open to weekend shifts, on-call, holiday call, and holiday shift coverage
- Dark gray scrub attire required
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
- Ideal candidates demonstrate excellent time management, a positive attitude, and reliability
