Construction Superintendent - Structural Concrete

 

Role & Primary Deliverable

Lead daily field operations on active structural concrete construction sites — keeping crews safe, on schedule, and producing quality work from ground-break through final inspection.

Tools/Platforms:  Contractor Foreman (or equivalent daily reporting software), construction drawings and specifications, OSHA compliance standards.

Brief / Description

Gilad Avidor, Inc. is a Los Angeles–based structural concrete company  specializing in high-end residential foundations, excavation, and shoring. We build with precision, accountability, and a commitment to safety — and we’re looking for a seasoned Superintendent to lead field operations on an active project basis.

What you’ll own:  As the most senior field presence on assigned sites, you’ll direct the Foreman → Leadman → Crew chain, enforce daily safety standards, and keep production aligned with project schedules. Your fingerprints will be on everything from morning safety walkthroughs to concrete pour readiness confirmations.

Day-to-day, you will:

• Direct foremen, leadmen, and crews across one or more active sites within an assigned zone
• Review project schedules and communicate daily priorities to the field team
• Conduct daily safety walkthroughs and enforce OSHA and company standards
• Monitor field work quality against plans and specifications; correct rework before it advances
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, and subcontractor activities
• Confirm site readiness before every concrete pour 
• Submit daily field reports documenting crew count, progress, weather, and site conditions
• Flag schedule risks, quality issues, and safety concerns to the Director of Field Operations

What success looks like:  Sites run safely and on schedule. The Foreman → Leadman → Crew chain is coached, accountable, and performing. Daily field reports are accurate and submitted on time. Zero preventable safety incidents.

This is a hands-on, in-the-field role. You’re not managing from the office — you’re out there with the crew every day.

Deliverables:

• Daily field report (crew, progress, materials, weather)
• Safety walkthrough documentation to Safety Coordinator
• Schedule performance update to Director Field Operations
• Pour readiness confirmation prior to every concrete pour
• Rework identification and corrective action documentation as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3–5+ years of field experience in structural concrete , excavation, or heavy construction — including time in a foreman or superintendent-level role
• Proven ability to lead and develop Foreman → Leadman → Crew chains across concurrent active sites
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications
• Strong daily production management and schedule adherence
• Bilingual  English/Spanish  required
• Strong communication skills — field crew, project managers, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors

Preferred:

• Familiarity with Contractor Foreman or similar field reporting/project tracking software
