Job Description Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Southeast Pipe Survey, Inc. Position Title: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Department: Safety & Risk Management Reports To: Chief Operating Officer (COO) Location: Georgia (Travel Required) Employment Type: Full-Time Position Summary Southeast Pipe Survey, Inc. is a leading contractor specializing in sanitary sewer inspection, cleaning, trenchless rehabilitation, cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, pipe bursting, open-cut construction, manhole rehabilitation, and related underground utility services throughout the southeastern United States. We are seeking an experienced Certified Safety Professional (CSP) who is passionate about protecting people while helping field operations succeed. This position requires an individual who can effectively balance regulatory compliance with practical construction operations. The successful candidate will develop, implement, and continuously improve our safety culture while supporting approximately 60 employees working in demanding underground utility environments. This position requires frequent travel to project sites and close collaboration with operations management, field supervisors, project managers, and executive leadership. Primary Responsibilities Lead and continuously improve the company's Safety Management System. Conduct routine and unannounced field safety inspections throughout active job sites. Perform job hazard analyses (JHAs), risk assessments, and pre-task planning reviews. Develop and conduct employee safety orientation and ongoing training programs. Ensure compliance with: OSHA Construction Standards (29 CFR 1926) OSHA General Industry Standards (29 CFR 1910) Confined Space Entry Excavation & Trenching Lockout/Tagout Respiratory Protection Fall Protection Hazard Communication DOT/FMCSA regulations State and local safety requirements Assist project teams with Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs), Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs), and client-required safety documentation. Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action implementation. Manage near-miss reporting and trend analysis. Maintain OSHA 300 Logs and all required regulatory documentation. Coordinate workers' compensation reporting and return-to-work initiatives. Conduct equipment safety inspections and auditing programs. Monitor subcontractor safety performance. Participate in project kickoff meetings and planning sessions. Track leading and lagging safety indicators. Develop monthly executive safety reports and recommendations. Assist in emergency response planning. Conduct safety audits for federally funded, municipal, and private utility projects. Support company insurance audits and loss-control initiatives. Industry-Specific Responsibilities Experience with or willingness to learn safety requirements related to: Sanitary sewer rehabilitation Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) Steam cure operations Hot water cure operations UV cure operations Resin handling and chemical safety Vacuum truck operations Combination sewer cleaning trucks CCTV inspection operations Robotic cutting equipment Pipe bursting operations Excavation and trench safety Traffic control (MUTCD) Utility locating Heavy equipment operations Generator and boiler operations Bypass pumping systems Manhole rehabilitation Entry into permit-required confined spaces High-pressure sewer cleaning Respiratory protection in underground environments Required Qualifications Current Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (equivalent experience considered) Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience Minimum 3 years supporting heavy civil, utility, pipeline, or underground construction Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations Strong understanding of underground utility construction hazards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and leadership abilities Ability to build trust with field personnel while maintaining accountability Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record Ability to travel to job sites throughout Georgia and surrounding states Preferred Qualifications CHST certification OSHA 500 Trainer
