Laboratory Specimen Processor

Labcorp seeks a Laboratory Specimen Processor in Shelton, Connecticut to prepare, identify, and route biological specimens for testing. The role involves data entry, specimen handling, and coordination with laboratory facilities, operating Tuesday through Saturday.
Responsibilities
- Prepare laboratory specimens and route to appropriate staging areas
- Accurately identify, label, pack, and ship specimens to testing facilities
- Enter patient information and specimen data accurately and timely
- Resolve and document problem specimens
- Store excess specimen samples properly and meet production goals
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens safely
- Basic computer skills and data entry proficiency
- Ability to accurately identify and label specimens
- Pass standardized color blindness test
- High attention to detail with multitasking capability
- 3+ months specimen processing or medical/laboratory experience (preferred)
Compensation: $18-$21/hr
