• Shift: Day 3x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30) / Night 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:30); weekend shifts vary
• Hours/Week: 36 hours/week
• Employment Type: Contract (W-2)
• Certifications: BLS required; Oncology experience preferred but not mandatory
• Experience: Previous medical-surgical or telemetry experience ideal

What You'll Do:

• Provide nursing care on oncology, medical-surgical, and telemetry units within a secure corrections environment
• Float to various units as needed, ensuring consistent patient care across settings
• Manage patients with active oncology diagnoses and other complex conditions
• Administer medications and IV therapies, including Heparin protocols and PCA
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret ABGs; respond to emergency situations
• Support patient care with respiratory management, feeding tube care, and renal therapies
• Maintain documentation using EPIC and medication systems like Pyxis
• Ensure safety and compliance in a secured correctional facility setting

What You Need:

• Valid Ohio RN license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• EPIC charting experience
• At least 1 year of recent med-surg or telemetry nursing experience

• Oncology nursing experience
• Experience with IV therapies, cardiac monitoring, and respiratory support
• Ability to adapt to rotating shifts, including weekends

About the Assignment: This assignment is at a secure correctional health unit operated by a leading facility in Columbus, Ohio. The unit provides specialized care for inmates with complex medical needs, including active oncology treatments. The RN will support a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient healthcare in a controlled environment, ensuring high standards of patient safety and compliance.
