Work Environment

The Physical Therapist role is performed onsite within clients' homes, allowing for a unique, one-on-one therapeutic setting. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans aimed at preventing disability, relieving pain, and restoring function based on thorough evaluations of each client's physical condition.
• Oversee the work of Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure effective implementation of treatment plans while providing guidance and support.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical capabilities, employing diagnostic and functional tests to inform treatment strategies.
• Make targeted recommendations for modifications to the home environment that enhance rehabilitation and independence.
• Administer therapy services, including manual therapeutic exercises, and instruct clients on non-manual exercises necessary for progress.
• Deliver specialized treatments such as traction and massage, and utilize various physical agents to facilitate recovery.
• Coordinate with an interdisciplinary team to evaluate treatment efficacy during case conferences and update clients' care plans as necessary.
• Monitor clients' conditions closely, documenting any changes and communicating effectively with physicians and case managers regarding adjustments to care plans.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, including initial assessments and ongoing therapy notes, ensuring compliance with federal and state guidelines.
• Engage with clients and their families to educate them on therapeutic devices and the overall treatment plan.
• Complete functional assessments and provide educational resources to assist clients in utilizing community support effectively.
• Participate actively in furthering the goals and objectives of Physiolife Physical Therapy by fulfilling additional duties as required.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
