Tax Accountant
Our client, a well-established public accounting firm, is seeking a Tax Accountant with 35 years of public accounting experience to join their growing team. This role focuses on providing tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to privately held businesses, business owners, executives, and high-net-worth individuals.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys building client relationships, and has experience preparing a variety of business and individual tax returns. This is a hybrid position offering flexibility, mentorship from experienced professionals, and excellent long-term career growth.
Responsibilities include:
- Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for corporations, partnerships, S corporations, and individuals
- Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
- Conduct tax research and assist with planning strategies for clients
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and support year-round advisory initiatives
- Communicate directly with clients to gather financial information and answer tax-related questions
- Stay current on federal, state, and local tax law changes
- Collaborate with senior accountants and partners on client engagements
- Assist with consulting projects and special tax assignments
- Maintain organized workpapers and ensure timely completion of client deliverables
