Service Associate

• Responsible for processing orders in accordance with standardized work instructions.
• Maintain work area ensuring proper supplies and equipment are available prior to start up.
• Pack parts in boxes using internal dunnage according to standardized work instructions and specifications.
• Practice Safety in your workstation and facility in accordance with NorthGate’s Safety Guidelines.
• Inspecting for part quality
• Ensuring a high quality of finished goods
• Electronic inventory adjustments
• Learn pallet patterns for all parts
• Communicate to Team Lead / Fork Truck drivers prior to work being depleted
• Understand when to send a pallet to sortation
• Learn the different internal dunnage and know when to use each style
• Know how to read job instructions and packaging specifications
• Learn how to run pad pack machine, foam in place machine, bubble wrap machines, stretch wrap machines, electric and manual pallet jack
• Understand all label requirements and when to use them
• Utilized water activated tape for the length of the shift – manual and automatic
• Learn different size pallets and when to use the appropriate pallet
• Perform related work as required

***General Requirements*** When working in a warehouse environment through Bluecrew, you may be expected to do any and all of the following: Working independently or in a team to pick, pack, and ship items Safely relocating or repacking inventory items as directed, up to 50 pounds in weight Operating machinery or other light equipment as trained in a safe and responsible manner Reaching, crouching, bending over, and other physically strenuous activities as required by the immediate supervisor Working on your feet at a fast pace for the entirety of the shift Comfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard or sub-standard warehouse equipment There may be a specific dress code, but if it is not listed, please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and pants.
