You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DIVISION of IMMEDIATE OFC OF CHIEF OF NVL OPS.

Duties

Help

• You will develop policies and procedures and provide guidance for the personnel security program.
• You will serve as the leading security authority in the management of command's classified information.
• You will serve as the contracting officer for security matters for classified contracts within OPNAV offices.
• You will ensure that physical security policy, design, surveys, and installed protective systems are in place prior to certification for storage of classified information.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This is a Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) position and requires DoD certification. Selectee must obtain and maintain certification within prescribed timeframes. Certification required is: Security Fundamentals Professional Cert
• MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

1. Managing Personnel Security by developing policies and procedures, providing guidance, directing the initiation, rejection, revision and review of investigations for the purpose of granting clearance and access to classified information, continuous evaluation, and the CE enrolled process for OPNAV assigned sensitive billets;
2. Serving as the leading security authority in the management of command's classified information under the authority of Executive Order 13526 while protecting and safeguarding classified holdings against unauthorized disclosure;
3. Managing technical and marking guidance for classified document production while ensuring proper marking prior to finalization; and
4. Providing supervision over the Industrial Security Program for classified contracts while working closely with OPNAV staff contract officer representatives to ensure the timely and proper preparation of Contract Security Classification Specifications.
