Job Description The Associate Director of ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) Finance is a critical role in the end-to-end supply chain management team. This position partners with the VP ISC to lead Plant Controllers (Senior Managers) and Platform Associate Directors of Finance (where applicable). It also partners with the VP Finance for the business to ensure ISC strategies are reflected accurately in the P&L. Responsibilities Be responsible for the FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) for the manufacturing plants and OCOS (Other Cost of Sales) Oversight for the monthly financial impact versus budget/forecast Prepare and communicate actionable reporting to ISC and business leadership teams Financial Modeling and decision making (Make vs Buy, Site impacts, etc) Accountable for successful budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes for manufacturing plants and related ISC functions Business partner to the VP of ISC Actively participates on the ISC Finance leadership council Creates an open, inclusive environment for employees to grow and challenge themselves Leader should create a culture of innovation; enabling teams to develop solutions to business problems and elevating those ideas that are successful to the broader group to achieve economies of scale Ensures accounting treatments are accurate and enforce to GAAP – proactively engages the Controller organization for technical treatments where disagreement or uncertainty exists Align with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures Stay in sync with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles Plant site and headquarter visits, as the need arises Ad hoc support or special projects, as required Minimum Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Experience: 7+ years of relevant accounting and/or FP&A experience 5+ years of people management experience Demonstrated background in Operations Finance, Costing, and Analysis Core Technical Skills Advanced Excel proficiency (complex spreadsheets, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros) Strong working knowledge of financial systems and tools (HFM, SAP, JDE, BPC) Deep expertise in SAP within a manufacturing environment Prior ownership of large-scale standard costing environments ERP costing experience supporting: Standard cost build-ups Work order variance analysis Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) Finance & Compliance Strong understanding of GAAP accounting Ability to ensure accurate accounting treatments and partner with Controllers on technical matters Leadership & Business Acumen Proven ability to: Partner with senior leaders (VP-level) Build credibility and challenge business partners constructively Strong analytical, decision‑making, and critical thinking skills Ability to manage tight deadlines , ambiguity, and multiple priorities Demonstrated collaboration, influence, and communication skills Work Model Ability to work on‑site a minimum of 4 days per week Willingness to travel for plant and headquarters visits Preferred Qualifications Advanced Credentials MBA CPA or CMA BD / ISC‑Specific Experience Prior experience in BDX Integrated Supply Chain Finance Familiarity with BD plant networks, costing models, and ISC governance Strategic Finance Exposure Experience leading Make vs. Buy analyses Site footprint optimization and manufacturing network modeling High‑level P&L integration tied to ISC strategy Enterprise Leadership Presence Prior participation on finance leadership councils Track record of scaling innovation and best practices across sites or regions Compensation & Benefits Annual Bonus Potential Discretionary LTI Bonus Potential reimbursement of phone use Medical coverage, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, Dental coverage, Vision coverage, Hospital Care Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, Accidental Injury Insurance, Life and AD&D insurance, Short‑term disability coverage, Long‑term disability insurance, Long‑term care with life insurance BD 401(k) Plan, BD Deferred Compensation and Restoration Plan, 529 College Savings Plan, Financial counseling, Baxter Credit Union, Daily Pay, College financial aid and application guidance Paid time off (PTO), including all required State leaves, Educational assistance/tuition reimbursement, MetLife Legal Plan, Group auto and home insurance, Pet insurance, Commuter benefits, Discounts on products and services, Academic Achievement Scholarship, Service Recognition Awards, Employer matching donation, Workplace accommodations Adoption assistance, Backup day care and eldercare, Support for neurodivergent adults, children, and caregivers, Caregiving assistance for elderly and special needs individuals, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Paid Parental Leave, Support for fertility, birthing, postpartum, and age‑related hormonal changes Bereavement leaves, Military leave, Personal leave, Family and Medical Leave (FML), Jury and Witness Duty Leave Salary Range Information $168,000.00 - $268,800.00 USD Annual Equal Opportunity Employer Statement Becton, Dickinson, and Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
