About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance and Deputy Chief Financial Officer to serve as the senior-most finance leader, with a focus on financial planning, budgeting, and analysis. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the annual operating and capital budget process, owning the multi-year financial plan, and producing management reports that drive strategic decision-making. This role requires a hands-on approach to financial operations, including oversight of accounting, financial reporting, and business operations that directly support the academic community. The Vice President will also be involved in treasury, debt, and capital management, and will be expected to provide financial analysis for various investments. Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preference for advanced credentials such as a CPA or MBA. A minimum of 10 years' financial leadership experience is required, with a strong background in U.S. GAAP for not-for-profit organizations and experience in external audits. The role demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to lead a distributed finance team, and a proven track record in financial management. Experience in higher education finance, including financial aid and Title IV interaction, is highly valued. The ideal candidate will be adept at building financial models, leading process improvements, and be comfortable with technology, including enterprise finance and student information systems.
