Role Summary: The Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible for installing, maintaining, and supporting Flow's Waterjet and Fiber Laser Cutting and Press Brake machinery. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to travel extensively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Install, commission, troubleshoot, and repair Waterjet, CNC Laser and Press Brake systems.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Train customers in machine operation, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and software issues.
• Complete detailed service documentation and reports.
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation and assist with parts identification.
• Establish and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours and holiday support.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Travel: Travel extensively (up to 100% overnight, MondayFriday; occasional international travel)

Location: This position is for the Greater Boston/Worcester area.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, plumbing, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve technical problems using sound judgment.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Concur, and Kronos.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical issues.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Strong initiative, a positive attitude, and a dependable work ethic.
• Ability to organize work, manage time effectively, and work independently.

Tools & Equipment Used:

• Standard office and administrative equipment
• Diagnostic tools, hand tools, and machine tools
• Flow International systems and software platforms

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma required; AA degree in Electronics, Robotics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Waterjet, CNC Laser, or Press Brake.
• Hands-on experience with industrial machinery installation or field service
• Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver's license and passport
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Compensation: $33$36 per hour, depending on experience, plus overtime
