Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
• Manage the seating scheme and reservation system to ensure precise table assignment and efficient rotation.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and special preferences with tact and efficiency.
• Provide accurate wait times and monitor waiting lists.
• Communicate effectively with guests to manage expectations and enhance their dining experience.
• Work closely with waiters, assistants, and other restaurant staff to ensure seamless service.
• Support the team's overall effort by assisting with various tasks as needed.
• Maintain a professional and courteous attitude.
• Assist in managing reservations, updating guest profiles, and organizing seating arrangements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the host/hostess station.
• Help manage phone calls and guest inquiries about reservations and dining options.
• Maintain restaurant standards for excellence in service and hospitality.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor.
• Complete safety training and certifications.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to achieve common goals, listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure compliance with expectations and quality standards.
• Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, and maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Hospitality-oriented

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, a polished appearance, and the ability to handle guest interactions with professionalism and grace.

• Previous experience as a host/hostess in a fine dining or luxury restaurant setting is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.

• Knowledge of reservation systems and basic computer proficiency.

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Bilingual (Spanish/English)
