Location: Route 7 and Grace Way, Canaan Connecticut 06018
Duration: 12+ Months
Shift: M - F (7AM - 7PM)
M - F (PM - 7AM)
Job Summary:
- The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe, accurate movement of products within the distribution center. Job Responsibilities: (Primary Duties, Roles, and/or Authorities)
- Transport palletized product within the distribution center (unload, put away double deep, bulk and full pallet pick, load, replenishment)
- Operate material handling equipment, including high reach, counterbalance, electric pallet jack, and dock stocker.
- Use RF Scanner and WMS to ensure inventory accuracy and track products throughout the site.
- Ensure product integrity while performing all tasks.
- Follow site safety procedures, including required PPE (safety vest, safety shoes).
- Cross train and become knowledgeable in other areas. Provide backup support when required.
Education and Experience: ·
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred. · 1 year of relevant experience, required in lieu of High School Diploma or GED.
- Intermediate experience with either a high reach or counterbalance required.
- Experience with Manhattan WMS, preferred.
Knowledge and Skills: ·
- Ability to obtain a forklift certification within 2 days of employment.
- Ability to read and interpret distribution documents in English.
- Ability to operate MHE and use an RF scanner.
- Basic analytical, organizational and prioritization skills.
- General distribution knowledge.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong initiative and drive for results.
